Project One: Regenerate
We setup the company to take on some interesting projects. The first was the purchase of The Guild Heritage, Old Market, Bristol which completed on April 1st 2011.
Our first collaborative tenant arrived same day the Happy City Initiative.
In late April 2011 we submitted a planning application for Guild Heritage House to become mixed use – read the full design and access statement for the building.
We got some interesting feedback from the Old Market Community Association – here. While we did not agree with it all there were some ideas we had not considered fully. We talked to the planners and they suggested we wait until the Autumn and resubmit. In particular we should continue to market for an existing commercial use and do this for at least 6 months to meet Bristol City Policy guidelines.
So we pulled the application and continue to focus on the best use for the building whether it be living within, working at or being seen in the Guild Heritage.
